Sixth Street’s Spirit is a tequila crafted for lovers of music and Austin. During my research, I found that Austin is known as “The live music capital of the world” because they have the most live music venues in the world. I thought there was potential to position this brand as “THE TEQUILA” of Austin. I used Sixth Street in the name because this is where most of the bars in Austin are located and I am stating that this tequila is the spirit of the street. The icon consists of a guitar pick with the symbol of an agave to combine the world of music and tequila. A guitar-shaped bottle was used for immediate recognition and uniqueness, and to be a favorite among the competition. The style is bold and uses musical note patterns to soften the rock vibes and to be more inclusive of other music styles. I used holographic and fluorescent vinyl to create contrast and transmit the electrifying energy of music. The fluorescent quality draws attention and plays off the idea of nightlife.
